Hangin' thru the end of December...

I have been a slacker in updating the blog with our happenings post-grandparents month.  For a few days it was pure relaxation, not getting anything done and just enjoying our time as a foursome in our home.  And then we all got sick.  And since then it has been a bit of chaos in our world, as we work to regain traction.  Just in the last day or so, we have begun to feel relaxed and healthy again, thank God!  And tomorrow we leave for ten days in Missouri!!

Here is my best attempt to catch us up in the blog documenting of our lives :)  In between the craziness, we have spent so much amazing time with our friends in this long week, and have the pictures to prove it ;)

Look for updates soon as we embark on our first trains, planes and automobiles adventure as FOUR.

Meeting Maggie Scout, Noa's future best buddy.  Yes, they are only three weeks apart, contrary to how it looks! :)

First smiles!

Dyker Lights

How is it possible that we have never been to this eighth wonder of the world here in deep south brooklyn?!?!?   Dyker Lights is the most amazing display of community Christmas lights, in the neighborhood of Dyker Heights, Brooklyn.  We took the kids to see the lights and Amichai was in awe of the Disneyland like experience....every house was decked out with lights, characters, decorations, and we walked from home to home, admiring the spectacular.  SO. MUCH. FUN.

Chanukah 2014

Holidays are magical with a toddler.  Watching Amichai's joy in lighting the candles, playing dreidel, and marching to his presents each night was the most incredible thing.  He talked about Chanukah all day long and would jump for joy when it was finally time to light candles.  We realize now how fun it is going to be to create all of our family rituals in these coming years, as our kids become more and more cognizant about it all.  Shayna and I both have found such enjoyment in bringing our childhood traditions into our home and building our own as well.  Such an amazing time.  Enjoy these pics--I think they really tell the story of our Chanukah of lights and love and friends/family.

Opa and Mia's visit!

Somehow, in the shenanigans of Opa and Mia's emergency room ridden week with us, we managed to have some really sweet times together.  It took some time for all of us to recover from the week--Opa's kidney stones, Mia's asthma, Ami's stomach flu, Ema's cold and Mama's thrush (yes, again)...but here we are, posting great pictures again!

May it be a better January than December! :)
