Clearwater Music Festival
It's after days like this where any residual shame and embarrassment in having bought a minivan dissolves and I can roll down my 12 windows and bump some We Sing Silly Songs with pride. Why? Because the ease of heading up to Croton-on-Hudson with my five favorite people in the world to hear a full days worth of amazing music at the Clearwater Music Festival is PRICELESS. Our trooper kids hung all day, Amichai with no nap at all and Noa rocking her naps at the festival with blaring music and 90 degree heat. They danced with us, roamed the festival, hung out, ate great food and enjoyed loads of friends (who were randomly also at the festival, unbeknownst to us!).
Clearwater Music Festival prides itself for being one of the most inclusive and accessible festivals in the world. One of those efforts at inclusivity is having a sign language interpreter at every stage. For the first time, we all enjoyed the incredible experience of joining the deaf community in the front row of every stage to watch the sensational interpreters interpret the lyrics and feeling of the music, while enjoying the music itself with NOTHING between us and the stage. Unreal.
It was a magical day. We will return every year. A new family tradition.

A crazy rainstorm pre-Guster ain't holding us down! We played it out and made it to hear our last band of the day :)

Shabbat morning photo shoot.
The kids and I surprised Mama this morning by getting all schnazzy and coming to hear Saturday morning prayer service. Before we left, we needed to document the cuteness against our Butler St cuteness wall (a tradition anytime we dress up), and this is what I got. These kids.
