After a two month lag, transition makes inspiration!

I am sitting here in my living room watching my 10 week, 5 day old son sleep soundly in his car seat. About an hour ago, Shayna tromped off to her first official day back at work, and I turned the stroller around on 5th avenue to take Amichai back to our house for a few hours before I head off to work myself. So many firsts today. First time Shayna is away from him without me with her. First time I am watching over him for an extended period on my own. And in about 20 minutes, we will mark the first time that we leave Amichai with his nanny, Renee.

Sometimes transitional points inspire action. In this case, it is manifesting in the revamping of our dismal blogging over the course of our time with Amichai. I literally haven't blogged in 52 days. Lol. My intention is to start with this short post today, and then to fill in the (almost) two months of his life that we have not yet documented in his blog. Good news is that I will have many hours to do it over the next few weeks, while I am home with Amichai....and a million great pictures to tell all the stories! I think from here, I will just document with a BACKTRACK title when I am writing down memories from earlier, and document in real time alongside it....until I catch up!

Fun project. SO crazy to think of all there is to tell about these months. And how appropriate to start the backtrack on the first day of the next stage of our lives as parents...back to work!
